The Mission: Create a golf surface that plays just like the finest natural grass golfing turf anywhere, but eliminates the costly maintenance requirements.
Owning a golf course is like owning an airplane. They are expensive to purchase, but the greatest expenses are in the use and maintenance. Our surfaces are not necessarily inexpensive to install, but the maintenance costs are virtually eliminated. We have created a new surface that is as good a surface for golf as you will find anywhere. Now the outlook for a revolution could not be brighter.
We have explained the future of our Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf products below.
“The Perfect Amenity”
When you think of homes, apartments, or condos, the list of amenities is usually limited to swimming pools, tennis courts, and maybe a gym. The expense and hassle of maintaining natural grass golf greens usually eliminate the option for a golf amenity.
Properly installed synthetic putting greens and tee boxes can transform areas on any property into a great place to enjoy golf without the hassles of natural grass.
Jr. Golf
Many attempts are made by the golfing world to nurture junior golfers. I benefited from a great junior program at my home club. We had a 3-hole course called “The Wee Links” for junior golfers who did not have the skills or the knowledge to play the big course.
The Wee Links consisted of a 150-yard Par 5, a 100-yard Par 4, and a 50-yard Par 3. Juniors were encouraged to play as much as they wanted, keeping the big course clear and cultivating a great program for the future members and leaders. In my hometown the program is so successful; many state championships have been won on the High School level.
Most Public and Private Courses have 6 to 10 acres that could be devoted to a Jr. Course that is inexpensive and easy to maintain using Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf.
There are a few national programs devoting time and money to junior facilities. These organizations promote junior golf through the building of courses in areas of lower economic standing. These facilities costs millions of dollars just to build and the cost of maintenance is no different from any golf course. Cash flow and maintenance costs really create limitations for any golf course and without the proper funding and commitment. Courses either fall into disrepair or close altogether.
Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf can create a golf course where the only maintenance cost is running a mower on the fairways and raking the bunkers. For about the cost of maintaining one green on a normal golf course you can maintain the entire course.
Junior Golf Associations need facilities to certify and teach their members. The cost of maintaining natural grass is out of the reach for even the largest and best funded.
Our products can give the opportunity to any young person wanting to learn this great game.
Municipalities
The most Land wealthy groups in this country are governments. They have a responsibility to provide quality park and recreation services for all members of the community. The costs and commitment of installing practice areas and courses using Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf are within most every Government’s reach.
The two ingredients needed for managing and maintaining one of our courses or practice areas are land and a Recreation Department. Every Recreation Department can grow grass on soccer and football fields, so they have the equipment and knowledge to maintain a golf course that has Sand-Filled Synthetic Greens and Tee Boxes.
Land with swamp, marsh, and streams make great areas for golf installation, but are horrible conditions for most Recreation Center activities.
Even deserted city blocks in urban areas can hold practice areas to introduce all those less fortunate to this great game. Golf has been a sport where access was determined by economics, and now with new technology, that barrier can come down and many of the underprivileged can participate.
Conclusion
Whether you are of the highest economic standing or are among the less fortunate, Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf’s impact on the game of golf could end up right out you door step. Many individuals have installed Sand-Filled Synthetic Greens in their backyards and a few Apartment Complexes have seen the light for adding a great amenity to separate their property from the competition. Governments should look to enhance their communities by providing an affordable and cost effective way to spread the benefits of this great game to all members.
Sand-Filled Synthetic Turf has a wonderful future and its impact on the game of Golf will change the face of the game forever.
