People tend to have a dimmer outlook on life with lower self esteem and have less desire to eat healthy and exercise or be physically active.

Most people spend their lives avoiding pain and seeking pleasure in order to find that comfort zone where stress is best well managed. If we fall out of that comfort zone due to a stressful situation or event, we reach for something to make us feel better like sugary foods, or a drink and a smoke etc.

More people are leaning towards natural remedies, free of drugs or quick fix solutions that usually fail in the long run.

Doing any form of vigorous exercise or activity can relieve stress. Your brain will release chemicals called endorphines that will give you a natural mental state of well-being. Exercise combined with a psycological and emotional change will give you the desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle while relieving stress and enable you to lose weight and keep it off.

Hypnosis and yoga are becoming the natural alternative to a healthier physical and mental lifestyle freeing participants of stress related obesity and anxiety symptoms. Both hypnosis and yoga can be taught and used alone.

Unfortunately, many individuals have a hard time sticking to a conventional diet, especially since it usually involves elliminating a lot of your favorite foods and requires a lot of dedication not only to a strict diet but a full healthy diet program needs to include exercise also.

Hypnosis and yoga are both being recognized for their general health and curative benefits for stress symptoms such as emotional overeating or the inability to get motivated for exercise or physical activity.

Hypnosis is an artificially produced sleep-like state where the participant enters an altered state of consciousness.

Only individuals with a willingness and an complete dedication to their treatment goals will be successfull with hypnosis.

Under hypnosis, you are in a state of mind in which you are unaware of the happenings occuring around you. It's comparable to daydreaming or absorbed in music or a book.

For Hypnosis to be effective to control weight, the individual needs to undergo a mental transformation that will get rid of the food cravings and reinforce their resolve to eat better by avoiding unhealthy food choices and the motivation to be physically active with exercise or some form of fat burning activity.

There is no magic to hypnosis, only the individuals use of a natural physical state that influences your subconscious that is only effective if it's something you truly desire.

Yoga, is one of the six systems of Hindu philosophy that has been developed over thousands of years. When in use, the participants will experience a sense of rejuvenation and power plus a sense of union with mind, body and soul.

One of the more physical types of yoga is Hatha, with Ashtanga, (eight limbs) being the most intense-kind that utilizes asanas (poses) that are physically powerful.

Power Yoga is a more widely used term today and is being practiced by people from all walks of life, including atheletes and fitness models due to it's intense and physically demanding poses. The consistent movement (flow) reenergizes the mind, body and heart and increases flexiblity.

If your using yoga only to lose weight and get in shape, the yoga workouts need to be often and long enough to reap the fat burning results.

With the stress relief and physical benefits associated with yoga and exercise, many people are combining yoga with other forms of exercise such as aerobics, walking and many other forms of fat burning activity workouts.

Yoga also needs to be performed on a regular basis to have a long term lasting effect. And similar to starting an exercise regimen for the first time, you will need to perform less intense yoga poses in the beginning, so you dont' hurt yourself.

Hypnosis and yoga are both mainstream alternatives for managing stress and it's related symptoms. As long as there is a true desire to reach your goals, your efforts will be rewarded.
