Then I'd find myself reading news and well you get the picture. At the end of the day I had spent a lot of time, but accomplishing next to nothing.

Nobody, I mean nobody is to get in the way of this planned work time for any reason. I know there's always emergencies that come up, but I'm just saying it better be an absolute must to take you away from what you have to do. If you don't have this attitude, everyone and everything will get between you and your dreams. So what do you do during this work time?

2-If you ever want to really progress in your home based business, you will always have specific goals to accomplish everyday to get from point A to Z. You need to sit down and write what you are going to attempt to accomplish for the day. Then you need to put each task in order of importance. You're probably not going to get it all done, but the key here is that you are doing what's most important for your business everyday, since you have prioritized your list.

When you have your all important list of tasks and have clear vision of what you need to do, then do it. Find a timer online or off line and set it for the time you are going to work. If you're working for 3 hours for example, then set it for 1 hour and start working on each task and never stop until that buzzer goes off. Take a break and then do it again. The point? You work for 3 hours and breaks don't count. You do this with great focus and you'll amaze yourself at what you get done.

Like I said, you need to focus all your energies on what is on your list. Don't answer the phone or read the the latest news or even the sizzling product offer in your email in box. Treat your home business as though you have your boss looking over your shoulder with a deadline to meet. Seriously your time needs to translate into dollars not just a bunch of busy work.

Finally, get into the habit of writing down what you did for the day in the form of a business journal. Write what you accomplished or what didn't happen. Record the good, bad, frustrations and whatever else comes to mind.

Keep this journal everyday and it will give you clarity,vision and focus in your business. Having your thoughts on paper has a way of making things tangible and real. You will find that it really will keep you motivated and on track.
